The word is what led me to start the article, anyhow: I remembered it from the official press release describing the Shenzhou 5 Chinese space launch displaying a "huge red ball of flammulated flames" upon ascent[1]. Seeking further amusement, I Googled "flammulated" and got - to my surprise - an owl, and one of the first pages had a US government photo of the owl and there wasn't any article on Wikipedia
