Joe[edit]

Hi why are you sad 47.232.232.78 (talk) 02:28, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I know this was like 8-9 months ago, and this is not necessarily the place for it, but I hope you're doing alright; hope you aren't as sad and things are going better. And even if you are still sad, just remember that you are strong and you can make it out of these times someday (even if you don't think you are/can). I believe in you! orwell[edit]

the reference to orwell's discussion of the term "fascism" in 1946 very much reads out of place considering the more modern discussions of the term. yeah, he's notable, yeah he's talking about loaded language, but he's talking about *literal fascism* *one year* after the takedown of fascist axis powers.

what im trying to say is that his quote being used *in the context of this article* feels to me very out of place in how the article flows and even with how the article describes loaded language. the article is describing "words that have emotional impact beyond their literal meaning" not "words that are only used for their emotional impact and mean nothing else" and feels crass and out of place here. 2600:6C47:A03F:C443:1409:5DA3:7A24:A0C4 (talk) 10:47, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
