Untitled[edit]

This is based on the official UNE web page. I think it is rephrased enough not to be a copyright problem, but I've also emailed their webmaster and asked them to check it. Andrewa 14:48 Mar 17, 2003 (UTC)

I really don't think they'd mind. Any non-negative publicity is good publicity for a uni. matturn 13:00, 19 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The content of this page is largely provifed by and updated by Marketing and Public Affairs at the University of New England. --Kateune (talk) 01:06, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A lot of the Liberal Club section is rather POV and needs to be cleaned up. Gimboid13 11:23, 15 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've made an attempt. There are a lot of very dodgy things going on there, I've tried to be as factual as possible, and may even have left out one or two things. These bastards are wrecking UNE. Graham 00:55, 16 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Alumni[edit]

According to his website Richard Torbay had quite a long career at the UNE Union, including 7 years as CEO, but was not actually enrolled as a student at UNE. Does this qualify him for the alumni? My understanding is that alumni members must be graduates or former students. - Gimboid13 09:48, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Since no-one seems to object I've removed Richard Torbay from the list of distinguished alumni. There must be others that can be added. - Gimboid13 04:32, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
A little late I realise, but yes, Mr Torbay should not have been on the Alumni list. - Kiwifruitboi 09:03, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox[edit]

Given the recent change in the information in the Campus field in the Infobox from the geographic term Rural to the location Armidale, does anyone have an actual definition for this field? The Template:Infobox_Australian_University provides no guidance but the Template:Infobox_University seems to indicate a geographic term. I did a quick check of Australian university articles and, of those with infoboxes, 17 had geographic terms (urban: 10, suburban: 3, urban/parks: 2, urban/regional: 1 urban/rural: 1), 6 had actual locations and 1 had a combination of the two. I'm not sure the Location field doesn't adequately provide for any location information, although in some cases it does seem to be used for just the main campus. Maybe we need a definition for both fields. Is the Campus field relevant? The Template:Infobox_British_University doesn't have one. - Gimboid13 02:46, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The Campus field does appear to be redundant on this template. But, having said that, I feel that using terms like rural or urban is a much better description than a geographic location. Might I suggest it be reverted? - Kiwifruitboi 09:03, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There being no objections, the term Rural has been restored. - Kiwifruitboi 11:22, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Old Boolominbah picture[edit]

There used to be a booloominbah picture taken from the air - was that a copyright violation, or where has it gone? The one on here at the moment is about to be speedy deleted. It would be good to put the old one back if it's not a copyright vio. (JROBBO 06:08, 14 August 2006 (UTC))[reply]

It's still available at Image:Aerial_booloominbah.jpg, however they both appear to be from the same source so it may be that one or other of them has an incorrect copyright tag. -Gimboid13 06:36, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

College Articles[edit]

There used to be Articles on some of the Residential Colleges. What happened to them? Fardell (talk) 10:58, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vice Chancellors[edit]

I have corrected Ronald Gates' title from "Mr" to "Professor" as he is a Professor Emeritus in Economics of the Queensland University of Technology. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.222.136.75 (talk) 08:08, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously![edit]

UNE male students should strive to have nothing to do with female students on UNE property lest they be accused of being misogynist! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1.144.108.136 (talk) 02:48, 16 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
