I think the 'composition' table needs work. Omega-3 isn't really a common name for any particular compound, it's a description of the unsaturation of a fatty acid. I think there should be an additional column for this type of info. ike9898 13:35, Sep 23, 2004 (UTC)

Really? You're going to put on an article every herbal way to abort a fetus? PUH. Juniper berries have nothing to do with neem. This info should be removed. In fact all non-neem relationships. No analogies are needed in order to prove or state that neem is unsafe during pregnancy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.26.245.158 (talk) 09:48, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow. Sounds like someone is worried that dissemination of information is going to result in women trying to give themselves homemade abortions. --68.183.100.81 (talk) 08:33, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This article is about neem - if neem can cause abortions, than that is a fact that should be in the article. We don't leave facts out simply because we may not agree with them or their use. 172.218.136.146 (talk) 05:34, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

color of neem oil[edit]

Comment/question/suggestion on this sentence fragment

"Neem oil is generally red as blood ..."

I am a newbie. So, please do not bite my head off.

I am concerned about the accuracy/completeness of the text wrt color of the oil. The image of neem oil in the article looks yellow to me. Various other images on the net looked yellow to brownish yellow to me.

I am not an expert, but I didn't find any images that looked red.

Suggest something like this: "Neem oil varies in color, from yellow to dark brown..."

or "Neem oil varies in color, from yellow to dark brown to red..."

Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can contribute regarding the variety of colors of neem oil.

Neem oil, Azadirachtin. Vomiting from residue left from late incorrect use as cannabis pesticide[edit]

Please see Talk:Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. It is simpler than copying and pasting all that info here.

Please add more info here in this article on the side effects of ingestion of Neem oil and its main active ingredient, Azadirachtin. See also: Azadirachta indica. Vomiting is one of those side effects.

Vomiting is listed in various articles on its side effects. Readers need this info if they are using this organic pesticide. It seems many people using it as a pesticide may think it is safer than it is, just because it is organic.

So they use it in all growth stages of their plants of all types. That is a mistake from what I am reading in the instructions for its use. It is not supposed to be used in late stages of edible or otherwise ingested plants if it will end being a residue in the finished product. -- Timeshifter (talk) 12:31, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
