A silume is a large reptilian creature with a thick gray rubbery hide. Being slow to tire and having great strength, moderate intelligence, little emotion, and some magical ability, silumes are sometimes kept as servants, mainly for tedious or unpleasant tasks. They walk equally well as bipeds or as quadrupeds, but when speed is required they more commonly run on four legs. Their forelimbs are somewhat adapted to tool use (with limited dexterity). Silumes are believed to originate with the goddess Eequor.
