talk pages[edit]

Please, put your comments at the bottom of talk pages, not the top, and use ~~~~ to add a signature and timestamp. Otherwise, these pages rapidly become impossible to follow. -- Jmabel | Talk 01:43, May 8, 2005 (UTC)

Spelling of Icelandic names[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia.

Since you started making edits on Wikipedia you have been changing the spelling of Icelandic names by replacing accented characters with unaccented ones, 'þ' with 'th' et cetera. This is not in accordance with current Wikipedia practice. You are of course free to suggest a new spelling standard for Icelandic names but until such time as such a standard is adopted I suggest you refrain from making edits of this type. Most of them have been reverted by now, many by me. Haukurth 00:11, 16 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
