Could not be confirmed at this date. Germany occupied Poland in early October though. --mav 23:48, 29 Oct 2003 (UTC)

Moved and fixed:

Nope. Schweitzer was awarded the Peace Prize on December 10 and Marshall was awarded one the next year. --mav 23:48, 29 Oct 2003 (UTC)

Removed:

Could not be confired outside of 'this day in history'-type pages (very bad source). There were also some refs to the car being shown at the Turin auto show on this day... --mav 23:48, 29 Oct 2003 (UTC)

His own Wikipedia page lists his feast days, October 30 is not one of them. SewerSide 12:42, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did War of the Worlds really cause "nationwide panic"? I understand those stories are mostly exaggerated at best [1] [2]. --Calieber 15:25, Oct 30, 2003 (UTC)

This nonsense is propagated every single year on Wikipedia and nobody does anything about it. The nonsense version invariably makes it to the front page claiming it caused widespread chaos or something. I'm sure it says *right in the article* that it isn't true. 64.72.65.120 (talk) 00:20, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:October 30[edit]

Did you ever think about wikipedia's internal vanity calendar. A suggested Wikipedia:October 30 entry in below. mikka (t) 20:33, 28 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Births[edit]

Actually, talking of vanity calendar, shouldn’t the Rock Griffis line be removed … ?

Rally to Restore Sanity[edit]

Should it be mentioned that Jon Stewart and Stephan Colbert's respective rallies will be on this day, or should that be done after the rallies if their size and significance is large enough? --76.116.36.193 (talk) 14:08, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It certainly shouldn't be listed until it actually happens, future events are explicitly prohibited here. After the event has occurred (preferably long after, it would take a while for an event like this to establish notability) it can be included if it satisfies the notability guidelines at WP:DOY. holidays and observances "Alonso Rodriguez"[edit]

"Alonso Rodriguez" is the "Alphonsus Rodriguez" correctly entered on Oct. 31. I will remove him from Oct. 30. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 12:36, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

holidays and observances: Herbert[edit]

The Wiki article linked to Herbert says his feastday is Nov. 22. I will move it to there. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 12:54, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kristina Wagner[edit]

The birth of Kristina Wagner is listed as being 1963 here and on www.famousbirthdays.com, while it is listed as being 1962 in other pages in Wikipedia such as Kristina Wagner and IMDB.com. Can someone find a trustworthy source and correct what needs to be corrected? Dhrm77 (talk) 21:35, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

mischief night[edit]

purely anecdotal and media-created. Should be removed from Holidays and Observances --142.163.195.253 (talk) 12:18, 30 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
