Dead Ernest[edit]

Am I correct in thinking that following Fawlty Towers Sachs played the character of Ernest in a programme called "Dead Ernest" about a man who dies before his time and ends up in a bureaucratic "heaven"? (Trevsy (talk) 20:26, 29 October 2008 (UTC))[reply]

I came here for a similar reason, trying to think of the name of that sitcom. Has it been deliberately omitted from the main page? I would have added it, but it does say "Selected" filmography. Periglio (talk) 08:37, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Audiobooks[edit]

He is presently doing the audiobook version of Alexander McCall Smith's serial novel Corduroy Mansions, and I was thinking of adding that to the article. However, if by chance he's done dozens or hundreds of audiobooks — as some actors do — then a section on his audiobook career would probably be more appropriate than mention of his latest audiobook, as if we were promoting it. Do others know of a source we could consult to see if he has done tons of audiobooks, only a few, or none before this one? Lawikitejana (talk) 07:00, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He's been doing audiobooks a long time as this article [1] suggests. Also, doing a search on Andrew Sachs within Amazon.co.uk brings back 100's of results if which most are Audiobooks --91.106.22.185 (talk) 23:20, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

William Sachs[edit]

... is listed as one of his children. Following the link takes one to a page about an American film director with the name William Sachs who seemed to be working in the 1970's.
