This is an encyclopedia and not a forum for discussing your opinions on the subject. Kindly refrain from making such asinine comments.--203.171.245.41 16:35, 19 April 2007 (UTC) Tera Baap[reply]

A strange point: While booking online in the website of air deccan, one can only use Indian cerdit cards (!). I found no way to purchase an air deccan ticket online using my mastercard!

Fair use rationale for Image:New simplifly deeccan logo.jpg[edit]

Image:New simplifly deeccan logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Deletion[edit]

Suggest deletion of this article: Deccan / Red has been merged into Kingfisher, and is now a brand rather than a separate airline.

  • Second deletion - or at least sanitisation, so that historical info remails, but everything else should be merged with the Kingfisher Airlines article. I have already redirected the destination list link to the Kingfisher destinations article, and made a few minor changes. Jasepl (talk) 14:33, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This page should not be deleted as it contains Air Deccan's history. Trinidade (talk) 08:02, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
We dont normally delete airline defunct airline articles as it is a history up to this point of the airline. MilborneOne (talk) 11:17, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article move June 2016[edit]

As Kingfisher Red was only a brand of Kingfisher Airlines and operated under the same IATA/ICAO codes, info about it belongs in the Kingfisher Airlines article. However, Simplifly Deccan/Air Deccan was a fully separate airline from 2003 till 2008, operating under its own IATA/ICAO codes. Thus it needs its own article, like how US Airways has its own article even after the American merger. - ✈Sunnya343✈ (talk) 19:48, 18 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
