Rechless Life was written by neither duff nor slash, as it was played by Hollywood Rose, a band without Slash or Duff, but involving Izzy and Axl.

Independent Record?

Was this EP truly released independently? Allmusic.com claims otherwise. Where can this cd be purchased?

According the various biographies of the band that i've read it was released independently in very limited numbers before the band were signed to Geffen. It certainly wasn't released on CD because CDs weren't readily available in 1986 when it was made. I own a copy of the vinyl (the only format it was released on that i'm aware of) and there's no mention of Geffen or any other major record label on it. Guns N' Roses never had the money to release an EP on their own. They were living in a garage sleeping on the floor and stealing money from the prostitues. So how could they possibly get the money to set up their own label, produce and release a record? This EP was released AFTER they signed to Geffen. They were working on Appetite and Geffen decided to release an EP in the mean time. CDs were widely available in 1986, but they were expensive, only a few plants pressed them, and the average fan didn't own a CD player. We actually don't have a source for the claim that the record was released only on vinyl and cassette, although this claim is plausible and I left it in while cleaning up the article. The LP format was deliberately killed off by the record companies around 1989 or so (although it is making a comeback today.) Timothy Horrigan (talk) 19:55, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Bootleg Mention

In one version of the article it mentions that in bootlegs you can hear Axl say "This is about your f'ing mother" before "Mama Kin." On the official EP lies, this "shout out" is on the album. Since the quote appears even on non-bootleg versions of the album, I removed the reference to that quote being on "bootleg" copies. Also, I don't think that mentioning the quote actually "proves" it isn't a live album, so I just removed the entire reference. The quote from Axl is probably enough.

Explanation...

It would probably be good to explain the "?!*@" in the title of the EP, since there is no mention of what it means. Is it an expletive, or just random characters?Tkdman90210 23:16, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Faux Live

Please what the article means by 'faux live'. It's not much of an article if it's just creating more questions and confusion, lol

It's Live (rhymes with "hive") as the band have said in the past (Axl has said the title onstage quite a few times.)
