Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/William Cashman

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

William Cashman was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was to delete the article after transwiki.

Apparently another lost/orphaned VfD nom, as the tag was added August 4, but there is no corresponding VfD sub-page. According to the article, he is most notable for being a 9/11 victim. Seems like a trans-wiki is in order. Niteowlneils 19:03, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Interesting. It seems like it is transwiki'd already. I.e. either this is a left over from the process, or someone actually broke it back out from the Wikimemorial. Abstain until we know which it is. Geogre 19:55, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
    • Comment. Oh, I see. Based on the history, it's just a process issue, probably related to the extreme backlog of items in the 'transwiki' section of Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Old (some items date back to April). I'm not clear, after a memorial transwiki, do we usually leave a straight redir, a "soft" redir, or just delete entirely (I'd prefer it be one of the former, but that's just my opinion). • The normal process after transwiki is delete unless there are extenuating circumstances. Rossami (talk) 05:55, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)

This page is now preserved as an archive of the debate and, like other '/delete' pages is no longer 'live'. Subsequent comments on the issue, the deletion or on the decision-making process should be placed on the relevant 'live' pages. Please do not edit this page.
