What was Vivendi Universal Games previously?[edit]

What was Vivendi Universal Games previously? I'm assuming they were the merge of the Universal Games and Vivendi Games division. My problem is that the "Universal Games" isn't listed under the Universal disambig page. I'm not talking about Universal (game company) from the '70s and '80s. I mean the Universal Studios division that produced the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon games. I also found no info on "Vivendi Games." Was there even a "Vivendi Games" before the merger? The Vivendi page doesn't list one.

Also anyone know who owns the other one percent of Vivendi Universal Games? It lists 99% of the Vivendi Universal Games are owned by Vivendi Universal under Vivendi Universal#Current assets (partial list). -Hyad 03:47, July 25, 2005 (UTC)

I don't think there was ever a solo "Vivendi Games". Vivendi just bought out Universal and popped their name in front of everything (and subsequently ruined the game franchises...). It used to be just Universal Interactive as the game division of Universal.

As for that other 1%, I think that's the stockholders. Who now don't include anyone from America, sadly, even though half the company was created here, and most of the stuff they own is sold to Americans. Not to be self-centered, but, you know. Tom Temprotran 23:37, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

King's Quest[edit]

I think the part of the history that talks about VUG's foxing of the fanmade KQ might be a bit too specific when talking about a company of this size. Seems like who wrote it was an angry fan who meant to do some finger-pointing... -- Nbettencourt 03:03, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vivendi's Revenue[edit]

Hey this article is serverly out of date, it still saying in 2002 where it was losing money. Now the company is making massive profit now thanks to World of Warcraft.

Name change[edit]

Vivendi Universal changed their name to Vivendi and their logos will soon reflect the name change, so someone will need to update this page with an announcement and new logos (once they go into circulation).
