Polish Literature[edit]

  • The content in the majority of the sites on Polish poets and writers seem entirely lacking, given the popularity and size of the Polish Wikipedia - are there any Polish WikiPeople out there who would like to colaborate by providing roughly-edited/translated copy for me to clean up and post on the English-language Wikipedia?

Duplicated movie articles[edit]

You are not supposed to make two different articles on the same movie. (Which one should other people contribute to?) Make a redirect (like this: #REDIRECT [[Other Title of Movie]]) from one title to the other. I believe the standard is to use the English title for the article when a film has one, and accordingly redirect from the original title. / Uppland 17:53, 25 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Unicode?[edit]

Hi, I see problems with the name of the film "Pożegania". The wiki software seems to be escaping the ż as unicode, and displays this: Pożegnania, as the article title. It's only doing this for page titles, oddly enough. The character dispalys normally everywhere else. I changed the link on the film page to point to the english title of "farewell", and I'll remove the escaped title page. Malcolm Farmer 18:22, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Beer Categories[edit]

It has been suggested by User:BrianSmithson that the Beer and brewery categories should be renamed. The proposal has been supported by User:Syrthiss, and supported and expanded by myself. The notion is that the regional categories should follow the format of "Beer and breweries in Africa" /Europe/Asia/North America/South America/Oceania. "Brewers and breweries" could also be renamed "Beer and breweries by region". And all the countries should also be renamed (and merged if needed) as, for example, "Beer and breweries of Germany", "Beer and breweries of Britain", "Beer and breweries of Poland". The word in each case would be beer rather than beers to allow for general articles on beer culture in each region as well as individual beers.

Hello,

please read Help:Moving a page. In particular, I draw your attention to the parts:

... click on the "Move" tab near the top of the page. You'll be asked for a new name for the page
... you should never just move a page by cutting all the text out of one page, and pasting it into a new one
