Harper's head of security for Manning[edit]

Per http://www.agoracosmopolitan.com/home/Frontpage/2007/11/05/01929.html Current Canadian prime minister Steven Harper hired this man as security for Preston Manning. Be careful, both of you! Indeed this man had the wrong ideas, but phrases as to wish someone's death are the begnning of all wars and other inter-human misery. Take care of what you say! That'll make you really distinguished from people like these!

Re: I'm not "wishing someone's death" but Droege was! Since he is dead now, it is better to hear the silence than hear these stupid things he said! And I think the world is better without him!

Add the {{current}} template to this article?[edit]

Since this is a "current news item", I wonder if it would be a good idea to slap a {{current}} tag on this item while more details of his death (and, in some cases, his life) come to the surface? --Death phoenix 15:31, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Not really, I don't think. Droege's nefarious record is well-known, and I doubt that anything new about him will come to light. The current story is about his murder, and it doesn't look as though it'll be a particularly interesting case. Kelisi 03:13, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)

That's fine. Articles often get more interest when they become the subject of current news, including mine (though it's not good that I immediately thought to take a look here when I first heard the news). This issues, this Droege kind of person... they are so alien and strange to me... and then, having noticed his death in Wikinews and reading about him, how bizarre... I'm kind of thinking not to watch TV murder/suspense/police series nor cinema, because your North American events are better cliffhangers. BTW, I would hope Droege rots in hell, but I should hope God has mercy on his soul... DDaniel

You are guilty of what you claim this man is. Perhaps you should have asked the man himself before hanging him. He was very intelligent, more than he was given credit for. Daniel, sadly, this kind of person appears in all societies. It seems that it was a "crime of passion", somthing that also occurs in all societies. I don't think that there was much about this that had to do specifically with canada or with North America. Ground Zero 21:26, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Categories[edit]

I'm not going to delete it as I don't know much about him, but the category "Canadian terrorists" doesn't seem to apply, based on what's currently in the article; Canadian criminals seems sufficient. MisfitToys 19:07, Apr 16, 2005 (UTC)

I submit that the facts and neutrality of this article on the Mr. Droege should be disputed. The article was largely edited by [name deleted], who is known to be personally antagonistic towards anyone on the opposite end of the political spectrum.

Furthermore, "Exposés" written by professional anti-racist Matthew Lauder are not neutral and reliable sources (the Dominica article). Lauder is known to be involved with Anti-Racist Action and has repeatedly made defamatory and libellous statements about members of right-wing political groups.
