Name[edit]

This guy's name can be written a hundred different ways, and there seems to be confusion about whether "marquis" or "comte" is appropriate. "Emmanuel, comte de Las Cases" mostly follows present-day EB (we don't translate "comte" into "count"), which seems as good a choice as any. Stan 05:19, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Napoleon learning french[edit]

This was known from the publicaiton of the Memorial de Sainte Helene. It's not a new fact which came out recently as argued by some people.
