Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Party Posse (0th nomination)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Party Posse was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was to keep the article under the title New Kids on the Blecch.

Yet another Simpsons reference, this time to that fictional boy band that lasted a single episode. Ian Pugh 03:01, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. And now the waiting starts for a Snerk plip twung article. (would it work?) Wyllium 03:05, 2004 Nov 10 (UTC)
  • Keep, ideally turn it into an article about the episode in general. Everyking 03:30, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Even for a show as popular as "The Simpsons", it doesn't make sense to give something that only appeared in a single episode its own article. -- Antaeus Feldspar 03:37, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, move content to New Kids on the Blecch siroχo 04:57, Nov 10, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: It's a feature of an episode. This isn't the name of the episode, and, even if it were, episode descriptions for The Simpsons are all over the web. Loving fanboi collections aren't our business, and we lose the information by breaking infinitely down. An article on Season 2, 3, 4, etc. would be much better. However, delete this for being just a single joke again. Geogre 05:12, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • All the relevant information already appears in List_of_The_Simpsons_episodes, so Delete. Or if you really, really love fancruft, at least move this to an article under the name of the episode. Average Earthman 14:17, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Far too trivial. Triskaideka 17:24, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete fancruft. --Improv 19:05, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Can we have List of fictional music groups and indeed the category Fictional music groups without inviting such an article? (And The Be Sharps, also currently vfded.) Merge and redirect to save the connection from that sort of source to the most relevant surviving page in the Simpsons universe, likely the episode page as Siroxo and Average Earthman suggest. Though perhaps an article on music of the Simpsons is suggested? Samaritan 16:48, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Move to New Kids on the Blecch. --L33tminion | (talk) 22:07, Nov 15, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Verifiable and factually accurate -- [[User:OldakQuill|Oldak Quill]] 23:56, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. I just got here from following Made-up words in The Simpsons, which I got to from following List_of_recurring_characters_from_The_Simpsons (it's under Jedidah) , which I got to from following Slashdot_subculture#You_insensitive_clod.21, and that was from google. I'm just wondering where Wikipedia:WikiProject Simpsons is. --TIB (talk) 20:32, Nov 24, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Topic already covered--this level of granularity unnecessary. Niteowlneils 22:44, 26 Nov 2004 (UTC)
