[Untitled][edit]

The island is normally accessible only by boat but at the neap tides it is just about possible for the journey to be made by foot across the rocky sea floor.

Is it possible to swim? ( 09:54, 13 Nov 2003 (UTC)

From looking at Memory Map OS 1:25k map, its around 680m from the coast (or 850m from Wallace Beach), so youd have to be quite a strong swimmer to make it.

Should it read "at spring tides" instead of neap tides? During a low spring tide there will be less water making it easier to wade.

You are right about the tides. At the spring tide, the tidal range is larger: i.e. the high tides are higher and low tides are lower. I have edited the article to say "low spring tides". --Portnadler 23:03, 15 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I also suggest that we sort out the links to the books that are cited. I will take a look at this soon if nobody else does --Portnadler 23:36, 15 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Citation for Christ Legend[edit]

The page currently shows "citation needed" against the Legend of Christ statement (2nd paragraph). This is stated on the Channel 4 Time Team page that's currently reference [4]. 188.221.46.100 (talk) 09:40, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
