Hello![edit]

Hello there Romero, welcome to the 'pedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you need pointers on how we title pages visit Wikipedia:Naming conventions or how to format them visit our manual of style. If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or add a question to the Village pump. Cheers! —Frecklefoot 18:14, Mar 12, 2004 (UTC)

BTW, thanks for your contributions to John Romero and Monkeystone Games. I have no idea if you are the John Romero of the article, but we appreciate your contributions! —Frecklefoot 18:14, Mar 12, 2004 (UTC)
Yes, it's me :) Romero 18:32, Apr 7, 2006 (UTC)
Gee. John Romero, cool. :) Jasonglchu 17:29, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)
You know, if you really are John Romero, you could verify it by mentioning it on your official web site. If you did that, no one could say that you aren't him (or you). Captanpluto123 19:56, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Long Hair[edit]

Could you also upload a photo of yourself with long hair, that would be cool for the article, thank you, --137.120.195.172 00:03, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Done! — Romero 06:20, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Would you mind writing a little about Lane Roathe? Nicholas 13:49, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image and Commons[edit]

Hello, i am a french contributor of Wikipédia. I search free content about games. What do you think about moving your free image (like Image:Small romero head.jpg) in the Commons project ? Like this, it will be very easy to another wikimedia project to use this free content. I can do it, but i think its better if you to it yourself. Thanks a lot.

It exists Commons:Doom, Commons:Category:People by alphabet, Commons:Category:People of the United States, Commons:Category:Computer and video games. fr:Utilisateur:Bayo 13:16, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Done. The task was done by Bayo. --Ysangkok 15:10, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Autobiographical information[edit]

Hi John. From a brief sample of your edits it looks like you're being careful to tread the fine line between useful changes and self-promotion. If you haven't seen it already, we have a guideline at WP:AUTO that talks about this kind of situation—you might find it useful in making the target for your line-walking clearer. Cheers! — Saxifrage 03:16, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kinda ridiculous[edit]

Just checking the comments on the Id Software/John Romero pages, and yeah, seems really dumb that you're considered unable to verify information about YOURSELF of all people. Seriously, what do they want, a recorded video with a camera? Anyway, hope you make some new PC games soon, seems like the market is composed of nothing more than (title) (number+1). -Emhilradim 05:26, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for Image:Mstone logo2.jpg[edit]

Code Monkeys[edit]

Hey John! I saw you're going to be on Code Monkeys. That's awesome! Anyway, is it actually you doing the voice or someone else? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.206.201.28 (talk) 18:46, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you can believe it's actually me posting this, then yes, it was my voice on Code Monkeys. Romero 02:27, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Birth dates[edit]

Dear Romero, I would like to know birth dates about Tim Willits, Todd Hollenshead and Kevin Cloud. Can you help me? Thanks, --BluesD (talk) 14:11, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

At Brenda Brathwaite, you have added biographical information without sourcing. I do expect to drop part or all of that quite soon, as this is a biographical article about a living person, unless sourcing is added. - Sinneed 20:40, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey thar[edit]

Not sure if you still check on wikipedia at all, just wanted to say hi to ya John! - BlagoCorzine2016 (talk) 14:06, 10 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Doom 4[edit]

Hey John have you ever considered going back to Id Software?. I'm just curious like many others as to why you left. And in my opinion Doom has never been all that great since you left.

At least please tell us what you think of John Carmack leaving and what you think lies in the future for Id Software and the Doom series.
