Why I wrote the article on Wesla Lee[edit]

When writing the article, I inadvertantly hit SAVE instead of PREVIEW. What I had done was cut and pasted Wesla's bio from her web page at www.weslalee.com. I didn't intend to post that, but use the text as reference while writing. The article is intended to point out that there is a growing number of musical artists who, by virtue of their talent, are every bit as important, indeed much more so, than the dreck that the general media seems to enjoy foisting upon us. It doesn't matter whether you know who Wesla is - more that you know what she is a part of. If people are lucky, they may one day hear her music. But that isn't the goal, nor the point. The point is that there is an entire world of art out there that is completely separate from the mainstream - heck, even from the vaunted google - and it's really good, and really relevant.

Not quite there...[edit]

For some reason, I figured Wikipedia had a little more going for it than an "if it ain't in the mainstream, it ain't Wiki-able" attitude. Fortunately, there are places on the web that support counter culture and are hip to things that aren't quite google-able yet...
