Wikipedia:Cleanup Taskforce/Death and state funeral of Ronald Reagan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A disaster. Massively bloated, horribly written (more like a eulogy, or at best a news story, than an encyclopedia article), possibly loaded down with copyvios, definatly full of pictures that aren't neccisary and many that shouldn't be used anyway. --InShaneee 19:06, 24 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • UGH. This makes my brain hurt. Referred to User:Woohookitty. Not strictly in your "area of interests," but I know you like to precis and this one needs it badly. · Katefan0(scribble) 17:14, May 25, 2005 (UTC)
    • I removed a whole slew of pictures. It had 47! My god. Got it down to 32. Now I need to edit the article the best I can. --Woohookitty 23:28, 25 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Well I've done some massive editing. More to do, but I think it looks better overall. I also left a note with the author that there is no need to link a term EVERY time it shows up in the article. Anyway, more to do, but I think it's a good start. I need to figure out which pictures are needed and which not. --Woohookitty 07:40, 26 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Well I've got it down to 14 pictures. No applause please. :) Still more to do. I am thinking about turning the article from a narrative into a regular looking article. Wish me luck. :) --Woohookitty 07:37, 27 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Editing is complete. No applause. :) I put a notice on the discussion page of the article that I do NOT want to see sections reverted. I put a boatload of work into that page and I don't want it to go back to where it was. Editing and adding is fine, but I don't want to see any reverting. I will close the issue. --Woohookitty 01:51, 30 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
