Merger

I have tagged for merger with Wikipedia:Wikiquette. I had previously tagged for merger with Wikipedia:Civility, but that got reverted without comment. It seems to me that there are several pages all saying the same thing; it would make more sense to have a smaller number of them, improving navigation, concentrating effort, and making it easier to keep them up to date. I support. The fewer pages, the easier it is to actually find something. How many Wikipedians know half of Wikipedia namespace pages? And most visitors/anon editors don't even know they exist. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus ^Talk 18:28, 14 October 2005 (UTC)

I agree as well. I'm a new user and I've been trying to read lots before I dive into using it more. I don't want to make mistakes, but as I read I keep running into this where I see a page linking to a similar page that tells much of the same information. Don't make people debate positions you don't really hold

I think this is a very silly suggestion. I almost never make fellow wikipedians debate positions I really do hold, and if I did I'd feel embaressed, like I was violating WP:NOR, or at least bringing to much of me to the table. If you want to debate me and my opinions, feel free to email, edit my talk page, or the page I created for that purpose. This page is redundant

It's pretty much all said (and better) at WP:CIVIL. Suggest redirect :) Stevage 12:39, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

I see the redirect is now in place, and while I can see the merit of it, it now makes some of the links look rather silly, for example the one from WP:WELCOME#Don't be discouraged. Andrewa 20:45, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
