First name[edit]

Hey assjoles. His first name is Olin. The freaking beheading video confirmed it. Stop changing it.

The article should stay, because it's part of the ongoing Iraq war. It was done by insurgents a big reason why the war continues in Iraq. Furthermore, all articles concerning beheading victims exist. No reason why this one should be removed and the others kept. TripleH1976 Mon 21:22 p.m., 19 June 2006 (UTC)
Eugene Armstrong has an entry in Wikipedia as a result of his beheading. His beheading gave rise to news reports that made the subject NOTABLE. If we remove the link to the video then we basically remove the point of having an article about Armstrong at all. I have seen the video. It's horrible. Best not watch it if you want to sleep at night Godfinger 19:11, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

sources[edit]

I have added 2 verifable sources. Only 25 Google hits now remain. Hopoefully, more will be added. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 18:24, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

AfD failed, but a merge is more appropriate anyway. Source is notable only for a single event, that single event has its own article at foreign hostages in Iraq, and to avoid every single person killed as a result of Iraq getting their own article we should work to merge in situations like this. Remove Graphic Details[edit]

I was horrified to see details of the murder, such as mentioning it took several minutes with a small knife to behead Eugene, and, the mention of his head being held up after being cut off is beyond the info the average surfer should have to read. Fill the gap with other casual info. 24.180.125.77 (talk) 02:40, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that info is needed! Some smart ass obviously wrote it in. 24.180.125.77 (talk) 21:59, 26 December 2007 (UTC)anonymous[reply]
That's not a coherent argument. Chris Cunningham (talk) 22:59, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for removing the unneeded details. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.231.148.209 (talk) 03:44, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
