are these articles going to have extensive commentary or are they just lists of election statistics? If so, this should be Lists of Canadian general elections and the accessory articles should be lik List of British Columbia general elections, etc. --Jiang | Talk 21:43, 11 Dec 2003 (UTC)

how would one go about changing the name from what it is, to what you suggest? Pellaken 22:02, 11 Dec 2003 (UTC)

I went with Lists of general elections in Canada

Lists of Canadian general elecitons implies that only Canadian, AKA, Federal elections are listed, while 'general elecitons IN canada' could be anywhere within Canada Pellaken 07:41, 12 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Wouldn't List of Canadian federal elections be a less ambiguous term for the first list? --Jiang | Talk 07:42, 12 Dec 2003 (UTC)

hummmmmm. I'm on the fence about it personally, but I'll go with you, looks like you've been around longer.

Wipe-out results (elections)[edit]

Canada seems to have a lot of clean sweep and wipeout results.

E.G New Brunswick 1987 Result 55-0.

Is it good thing for democracy to have no opposition in parliament?

Some people argue that FPTP is necessary to guarantee strong majorities/governments.

But they overlook the need for a voting system that ensures strong oppositions.

Or any opposition.

See Wipe-out results (elections) for a more detailed study.
