Lack of sources[edit]

The beginning paragraph has no sources cited, and the rest is one source. There are references at the bottom of the page but they are no longer usuable, as the info on the Ka-15 is on a URL that has not been archived. I do not know how to put a "this article lacks sources" template so i decided to put this here. New image?[edit]

The current image doesn't depict the Kamov Ka-15 with its rotors. It would improve the article if it had an image with its rotors.

That appears to be the only photo of a real aircraft on Commons, so it may be a problem to find a suitably licenced photo that is much better.Nigel Ish (talk) 15:06, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

April 14, 1951, 1952, or 1953?[edit]

I have found sources stating that the Ka-15 first flew on April 14, 1951, April 14, 1952, and April 14, 1953. I have April 14, 1953 as the first flight because I found the most sources stating that it first flew on April 14, 1953. Forevernewyes (talk) 16:30, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Russian article for the Ka-15 also says July 25, 1952, so I really have no clue as to when the first flight was, maybe set it as 1951-1953? Forevernewyes (talk) 16:31, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

MilitaryFactory has been discussed several times at WP:RSN and is not considered reliable. This Day in Aviation appears to be a personal blog with no about page giving no evidence that it is reliable. The AirHistory.net pdf might be reliable, as it may have been written by published Subject matter experts. Other wikipedia are never, never, ever reliable sources. Of the existing reliable sources, Stroud just says 1952, while Gunston says early 1952. Based on that I would go with the proper sources. No-one should be making changes based on poor sources - that is worse than not adding the information.Nigel Ish (talk) 16:50, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
