Political NPOV and naming conventions[edit]

SchmuckyTheCat could you please stick with the naming conventions? In this edit, you wrote " Ping An Insurance Overseas, located in Hong Kong, is a second holding company for subsidiary companies located outside of China. " and implied Hong Kong not part of China.

Ping An's operation in Hong Kong and Macao is through Ping An Overseas, but you wrote " Ping An has operations across all of the People's Republic of China (instead of "mainland China"), and in Hong Kong and Macau through Ping An Insurance Overseas. Ping An has branches or a representative agent in 150 countries. ".

It is an insurance companies of mainland China, but you remove it from that category. — Instantnood 08:27, Apr 5, 2005 (UTC)

Article merger?[edit]

Somehow this should be linked with Ping An Insurance. That's their brand name, so it might be a more sensible choice for the main article; compare HSBC. I don't know how to do this though. Matt 09:17, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I concur with the merger; the other article is only 2 lines long. I'll be marking the categories with a merger flag. If a 3rd editor concurs, go ahead and do it.  :) 2*6 09:47, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Merge and explain the distinction within that article. Wayyyy down the road, it might even be worth spliting if gets too big...--Gkklein 16:55, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
