Question for the committee[edit]

Should Plautus ever return and begin his bad behavior again (I sincerely hope the former never happens, and if it does I think the latter is inevitable), do I/we/whoever has to deal with him have to go through the entire dispute resolution process over again? →Raul654 14:13, Mar 11, 2004 (UTC)

Lots of things may change until March 2005. Even the commitees and their formal structue. Therefore I don't think we can answer this question in any meaningful way. My personal opinion is that formally things will have to go through the entire process again (whatever that may be at that time), but it's probably all going to happen a lot faster due to at least a couple of reasons (the commitees will work much more efficient with a one year experience behind, and his previous ban will definitely count as well). But then again, that's just my 2 cents, I don't think you'll get anything better than that due to the large time lapse.
On another train of thoughts, I don't think it's such a good idea to populate this page and similar pages with what is basically a discussion. I don't want to move the text myself because I answered the question myself. But if any other arbitrator feels the same, please feel free to move this whole section to the talk page. --Gutza 14:51, 11 Mar 2004 (UTC)

From user talk:MyRedDice[edit]

I see on Talk:Tornado that you are now experiencing the same joy of interacting with Plautus that the rest of us have had for the last 2 weeks. →Raul654 00:46, Feb 26, 2004 (UTC)

So it seems. How long do you predict it'll take for me to start asking for him to be banned? Martin

It depends on how closely you follow his actions. The more one looks at them, the more one wants to ban Plautus. He has now rejected his tutilage under Ed, saying that Ed betrayed him by not agreeing with the crackpot changes he was proposing. (I was considering adding that to the mailing list in response to Jimbo's last post). He has (yet again) expanded his efforts to poison wiki to include the ISS, saying that it's a weapons platform. The RFC page shows that every single person he has come into contact with wants him banned, save Lir and Irismiester. Go figure. →Raul654 00:58, Feb 26, 2004 (UTC)

What if I don't intend to follow his actions at all? Generally it's a mistake to let troublesome users dictate your reading habits. A mistake I've fallen into in the past, incidentally. Martin

Stop playing semantics, Martin. This is a serious case and the AC needs to get off its ass and start implementing a Jimbo free referral policy.—Eloquence 01:50, Feb 26, 2004 (UTC)

Martin, if you know someone was vandalizing the house next door to yours, what would you do? What you are asking me to do is ignore it, and let someone else deal with the consequences. I'm not going to pass the buck. →Raul654 01:59, Feb 26, 2004 (UTC)
I for one will support you if you re-ban Plautus.—Eloquence
I've been thinking about it. How do you think that would play out? →Raul654 02:32, Feb 26, 2004 (UTC)
I think Lee has been making some attempts to get the arbitration policy into working order. Give him a couple of days and if nothing happens until then, just do it. Jimbo will probably back you up, too.—Eloquence 03:00, Feb 26, 2004 (UTC)

I'm not asking you to do anything Raul. I was simply describing my own intentions. In life in general, I aim to be as good as I can be... but no better. Self-sacrifice is very noble, but I find that an excess of it makes me unpleasant to be around, and overly attached to the world. If you do not suffer from the same flaws as myself, then there is no reason for you to take my approach.

Hi Erik. Thanks for the feedback. Martin

Dispose of Properly[edit]

Plautus should not be banned from Wikipedia because this forces him to advance his tinfoil agenda and disrupt in other forums. Stop dumping your Wiki trash on us. Plautus was your problem, you created it by continually arguing with him when he was obviously correct. Please dispose of properly. Banning him does not make him go away.
