Move request[edit]

Diagree, given that the disambig page consists of three dicdefs, two references connectred to Bluff, NZ, and an even smaller town.dramatic 00:35, 6 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agree with move - the fact that there are several disambiguations is good enough reason to move it (even if some are dicdefs). Bluff, NZ, doesn't seem important enough to me to justify taking the primary location. Check the incoming links as well - there are quote a few non-NZ ones which suggests the disambiguation page should be at Bluff. sjorford →•← 09:53, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Agree. Mikkalai 19:34, 7 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support the proposed move. Bluff (poker) is not a dicdef, but a substantive article on an important concept in the game of poker. Given the exploding popularity of poker, I'd expect that page to get more hits than the New Zealand and Utah towns combined. There's enough ambiguity that I think Bluff should be the dab page, but if I had to pick one of the articles to go at Bluff, I'd pick the poker one. JamesMLane 07:33, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Bonamia[edit]

Is the parasite in question Bonamia ostreae or Bonamia exitiosa? See [1]. Ziggurat 02:55, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Paua House[edit]

The Paua House is probably going to be moved to a museum. http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/3925144a11.html Ppe42 23:46, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Signpost at Stirling Point[edit]

I have not been to Bluff but, looking at a map, it appears that, in the picture shown of the signpost at Stirling Point, the sign for Wellington, pointing slightly to the north of Sydney and way to the WEST of Cape Reinga, is pointing in the wrong direction. I have seen similar photos of the signpost on Trip Advisor dated in early 2018, but two other photos dated in November 2018 show the Wellington finger having apparently been moved and positioned pointing slightly to the EAST of Cape Reinga, which seems to be more accurate. Has the sign been changed recently? Blurryman (talk) 19:49, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Update. I've only just seen the link on the Stirling Point article referring to the discovery of the error in 2017 (https://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/on-air/mike-hosking-breakfast/audio/tourist-calls-bluff-on-famous-signpost/). So an updated photo is needed here. Blurryman (talk) 19:58, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This has now been fixed, with a new photo copied from the Stirling Point article. Blurryman (talk) 23:42, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
