30th anniversary edition[edit]

I couldn't see any reason for hiding the details about the 2007 re-release in a collapsible box, save for avoiding potentially upsetting ELO purists, so I moved the content into its own subsection. String players' involvement[edit]

It says in the article that Mik Kaminski only played on three songs, Hugh McDowell on nothing and Melvyn Gale on only one song, but where is the proof to verify that claim? When Melvyn himself was asked an interview with Martin Kinch whether he and Hugh played cellos on the three albums they were credited with playing on, he responded that they were indeed playing their cellos while according to the Jeff Lynne Song Database, the string players were sometimes mixed in with the orchestra and hard to single out amongst the orchestra players, which might explain the myth that they didn't participate in the recording sessions.

Let's face it: Jeff would never have allowed the string players to participate in recording sessions or on tour if they weren't good enough to play and it's not like Sid Vicious was ever a member of ELO - he couldn't play bass at all, let alone violin or cello.

I removed the claims about the string players on the basis that they are unsourced until somebody provides a reliable source to prove them right or wrong.

Orphaned references in Out of the Blue (Electric Light Orchestra album)[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Out of the Blue (Electric Light Orchestra album)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
