POV[edit]

This article might not be copyvio, but parts of the text seem to be not quite encyclopedic, nor NPOV. A bit of paraphrasing might be in order. Katr67 21:52, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Most of it is a copy/paste from here. I will try to add some more encyclopedic info. Cacophony 07:04, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's looking better already! Thanks! Katr67 07:39, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Georgia/Georgiana -- Rose Festival Founder[edit]

Some minor copyediting/factchecking issues:

  1. Mrs. Pittock is identified as Georgia in the intro, and later as Georgiana. Perhaps both are correct (one a short version of the other), but it is confusing, and should be clarified or made consistent.
  2. My understanding is that the Rose Festival was a community effort involving more than a single founder. In any case, her role in its foundation, if included at all, should be clarified and referenced. -- "J-M" (Jgilhousen) 08:54, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization[edit]

Xoruz, it seems to me that "finish line" should be lower case as it is neither a proper noun nor one of the exceptions listed at MOS:CAPS. If you agree, please change it. If you disagree, please explain your reasoning. Perhaps I've missed something. Thanks and happy editing. YBG (talk) 23:55, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Main reason I capitalized "finish line" on the page is because the term is usually capitalized on the Wikipedia pages for the show's seasons. Xoruz (talk) 00:12, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm generally a fan of consistency, but I rather think that consistency with the manual of style is more important than consistency between articles. If I were you, I'd not only change the capitalization in this article, but in all of the other articles you mention. The other articles are outside of my usual range of interest, or I might do it myself. YBG (talk) 07:30, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
