Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ajou University

This article has been sitting on Cleanup for quite some time now with no improvement. As it now stands, this is not an encylopedia-quality article. RickK 04:57, Aug 22, 2004 (UTC)

I guess listing it on VfD is one way to force people to improve it. ;-) Seriously, I made an attempt to move it from its cut-n-paste look & make something of an article out of it -- there was no clear statement that Ajou University was located in S. Korea! The statements that this university is considered one of the top 10 in Korea (& the other praise) felt awfully POV, but for all I know Ajou U may be the Korean equivalent of Harvard or MIT. -- llywrch 05:33, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep. I don't recall seeing this on the Leftovers page, which means it probably hasn't been on Cleanup as long as a good twenty or thirty more articles, and on top of that, it's a perfectly legitimate topic. Ambi 12:09, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep - RickK's kick in the pants has resulted in the article being stubbified. -- Cyrius| 17:22, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. I found it at Ajou University/Temp, moved it to Ajou University, made the corresponding change on the cleanup page, and lo and behold, it was cleaned up. It's linked to from List of universities in South Korea and List of Korea-related topics. Plus I've added some extra polish to the article. It's a perfectly legitimate article on a perfectly legitimate topic—a university with graduate programs, a medical school, and a student body of 10,000! By contrast, doesn't practically every post-secondary institution of any size in North America have its own Wiki article by now? And since RickK nominated it, the page has improved considerably. -Sewing - talk 22:02, 27 Aug 2004 (UTC)
