I object to this template

It is possible to make images available under multiple licenses. Just because an image is available under cc-by-nc-sa for some uses does not mean it cannot also be available under GFDL for Wikipedia use. The person who made the current cc-by-nc-sa template seems to have assumed that an image available under cc-by-nc-sa is not available under GFDL. This assumption is not a safe assumption. This template and the way it is being used is wrong. --Memenen 04:04, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

This template should be used for images only released under the cc-by-nc-sa, and should not be used for images that are also available under a free license. In my opinion, if an image is dual licensed under this and a non-free license, the image description page should mention that fact without using this template. – Quadell ^{(talk) (sleuth)} July 1, 2005 14:14 (UTC)
