hemiplegia during pregnancy? I think this is trying to say that a common time for hemiplegia to begin is "in utero or at parturition"...not "during pregnancy". The latter would imply that the mother is affected while she is pregnant, but not after, which contradicts a later statement saying that spontaneous recovery is very rare. I don't know enough about the condition to jump in and make the change, though. Would someone more knowledgeable do so if appropriate? Rootlet (talk) 23:26, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article basically covers the same ground as hemiparesis. I don't see a need for separate discussions on the causes, treatment, pathophysiology of each condition since they are the same. Hemiplegia is just the most severe form of hemiparesis. In comparison, Quadriparesis redirects to Quadriplegia (technically they both redirect to Tetraplegia). The convention seems to be keeping the "plegia" page (monoplegia, triplegia) so that's how I want to merge them. --Gccwang (talk) 16:30, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
