Untitled[edit]

This is duplicated at 2000 Summer Olympics. What's the point of creating a separate page? --Jiang 05:55, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)

I moved the medal counts to seperate pages for two reasons. First, this shortens the Olympic Games articles. As you will notice, there is only a shortened version on the 2000 Summer Olympics article now. The second reason was to connect the medal counts with a seperate template ({{Template:Olympic games medal count}}). Yardcock 22:11, Aug 22, 2004 (UTC)

It makes sense now what you've moved the duplicate. I think the medal productivity should be moved here too; it's less important and relevant than the medal count. --Jiang 22:33, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)

The concept of Medal productivity is fundamentally flawed. Please see Talk:2000 Summer Olympics Mintguy (T) 01:14, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)
So-called "medal productivity" is Original research and does not belong on Wikipedia. I have removed the link to this new interpretation, analysis, or synthesis of published data. All please take the time to remove this link if you see it reappear in this or other Olympics articles. Uris 02:37, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

including disqualifications[edit]

does this table include disqualified medals, such as those recently stripped of Marion Jones? 131.111.24.187 (talk) 08:56, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As of today it still does, because the primary source for this page (IOC website) has not been updated. As soon as they change the totals, we will change them here. Andrwsc (talk) 17:26, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Countries with first gold and first medal[edit]

In 2000 Summer Games hasve 6 countries with first medal, those are Kyrgyzstan, Barbados, Kuwiat, FYR Macedonia, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam. Also this event have 3 countries which won first gold medal, those Cameroon, Mozambique and Colombia. Cristiano Toàn (talk) 15:07, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
