Talk:Battle of Little Round Top

Can we get some citations regarding which "Historians are split as to whether or not this particular engagement would have made any impact on the outcome of the overall Gettysburg battle"? I've never heard very much debate on this - perhaps I don't spend enough time in the right discussion forums, as I prefer to read books. Maybe someone's read something I haven't? General Armistead[edit]

I have heard that the Confederate General in the second charge of Little Round Top was a Viriginian with the last name Armistead. If someone could tell me if this is true and give me his full name if it is, it would be a big help.

Lewis Addison Armistead was one of the generals in Pickett's Charge, not LRT. No Armistead other than his own son and aide, Keith, was in the roles at Gettysburg. Hal Jespersen 23:15, 19 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
