Pornology[edit]

What on Earth is 'pornology'? www.Dictionary.com has no results for it, I'm sure there must be a misspelling there.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.153.60.200 (talk) 03:55, 26 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have just this minute finished listening to his 2004 Massey Lecture "A Brief History of Progress". I am deeply impressed. The breadth and depth of his understanding and vision are truly profound for the species if not the planet in the short term (geologically speaking). It is (and no "perhaps" required) the most important non-fiction work (of any discipline) I have ever read or (listened to) and every naked ape on the planet should have a chance to do so - our very existence depends on it (and no "may" required either). Please spread the word! The more info on him here the better. Please contribute as I can find little info and no personal home page for this exceptional writer and intellectual. There are better links to the first Massey Lecture on A Short History of Progress without the permaculture segment intro although I found the permaculture bit was a learning experience and I like having a link here I am not sure!? Mattjs 15:33, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Photo?[edit]

I just uploaded a new photo of Ronald Wright onto the Wikimedia commons, but am not sure whether it should be included or not. Thoughts? Nick.wiebe 05:38, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmmm, he looks older there, so its definitely more up to date, plus its in colour. Its a nice shot, but usually bio articles have headshots. I like it though. GarethChantler—Preceding undated comment added 13:16, 27 February 2007.
