Thomas Deaton is one of the 4 founders of the neopets.com web-site, which was subsequently purchased and evolved into Neopets. He also co-founded The Wizard Mansion, an online community for fans of wizardry and Harry Potter. Thomas attended Stanford University, where he studied artificial intelligence and computer music. He enjoys spending time with his 3 children and creating music and online games for them. He is also an avid Java (Java programming language) programmer, and spends his spare time developing online multi-user environments and particle simulations. Little known facts: (1) his great-great-great-...-great-grandmother on his mother's side is Harriet Beecher Stowe, who wrote Uncle Tom's Cabin; (2) his children are related, through their mother, to Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots, also known as Mary I of Scotland.
