CDPs / unincorporated communities[edit]

I've noticed two issues, which are related. I wanted to mention them here to provide more detail than I can in the edit summary.

1. The data that I have from the U. S. Census doesn't show any CDPs in Saline County, but there is a list of CDPs in the article. I'll change the heading to "Unincorporated communities".

2. The USGS lists 25 of unincorporated communities, but the article lists 84 of them. At least a few of those 25 may not actually exist any more -- it's typical of USGS data to continue listing towns long after they have faded away. That's not necessarily bad, and after all, there's probably no definition of when an unincorporated town ceases to be a "town" and becomes just a collection of two or three houses, as often happens. The point is I'm not sure where the 84 came from, although I do see that at least some of the 13 townships are included. I'll list the townships separately and can then narrow down the list using USGS data. Omnedon (talk) 13:20, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
