Merging and refactoring[edit]

I'm thinking of merging this article with in vivo staining in the next few days. There's overlap between the stains used in the two cases, and many of the stains listed in the in vivo article can't actually be used that way.

I'll flesh out the stain entries, and add a section on fluorescent stains. If the article starts getting too big, then perhaps the histology protocols can be spun off into their own article.

Thoughts? --TenOfAllTrades | Talk 21:19, 28 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I've updated in vivo staining to cover all biological stains, and included a brief section on fixation and sample preparation. That article has been moved to the title Stain (biology).
I'm thinking of keeping the histology and cytology protocols in this article, but they should probably be under a new title. Maybe staining protocols?
