Fair use rationale for Image:Patrol 2005.jpg[edit]

Image:Patrol 2005.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I have to add that i did go to Logan with Nate Robinson and used to live down the street from Roy Williams both Alumni of Logan. However Nate came half way through the year his Junior year and returned to Washington to play basketball because of the Logans coach Chongs racial profiling and not letting a NBA quality athlete on the team half way through the year. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.126.189.115 (talk) 17:24, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Enrollment data[edit]

The last most reliable enrollment data was published by the California Department of Education at 4,054 students for the 2007-2008 school year. This is the exact number of students the district receives reimbursement from the state for. With WP:VERIFY ("The threshold ... is verifiability, not truth") in mind there is currently no way to verify or ascertain the enrollment number for the 2008-2009 school year. In my experience the CDE will published reliable 2008-2009 data in early 2009. A reference must be provided so that other editors can verify the "about 3900" students edits. – Zedla (talk) 06:25, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I implore the people editing this article to read what User:Zedla has written. It does not matter what the enrollment numbers are as long as they are properly sourced. If you cannot source the information, it should not take precedence on the page. In fact, every bit of information on the page should be properly referenced. Please read the core Wikipedia policies Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:No original research. --Jh12 (talk) 04:59, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It is becoming clear the editor(s) of this article is unwillingly to provide references. Well-sourced information by Zedla and myself is being repeatedly removed and replaced with unreferenced information. I have now clearly labeled various statements that need to be sourced. If the editors of this article continue to place unsourced information or remove notices, I will be asking for further community assistance. I ask again, please read the core Wikipedia policies Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:No original research carefully. You cannot simply write anything you want and expect it to remain on the page. If you have a reliable source for your information, by all means add it in: see Wikipedia:Citing sources--Jh12 (talk) 02:13, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have no interest in continuing an edit war on this page. The data being provided is not referenced by the current California Department of Education reference. I am re-adding fact tags; either source the material properly or simply use the information that was already provided. --Jh12 (talk) 03:08, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Embedded Lists[edit]

In an attempt to clean up the embedded lists, I will be significantly cutting information about the school's facilities to better meet WP:WPSCH/AG. Also, the list of school plays is not encyclopedia, but I thought I would open it up here to see if anyone had any comment about that section. Cheers, -- Lucas20 (talk) 12:19, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I went back through and did some more cleanup today. tedder (talk) 04:29, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alumni[edit]

The alumni list is for notable alumni. To be included an alumnus should have a wikiarticle establishing his or her notability and attendance at the school. There is no evidence that Ishaan Sharma is notable, or attended the school. Meters (talk) 04:29, 24 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

History of James Logan[edit]

James Logan High School was named after pioneer James Logan, who came to Alvarado (former settlement, now part of Union City[1]) from Derry, Ireland in 1885. After World War II, the growth of Union City was so tremendous, a new high school was built to serve that district. James Logan served on the Washington Union High School Board of Trustees for many years and had used his own farming equipment to condition the sports field at the new school, and the school was aptly named after his service and commitment to local education[2].

P.S. I'm new to Wiki editing, so any feedback would be great! Thanks!

Your first reference is user-generated and thus is not something we can use. It is not a WP:RS. And you cannot simply copy material you find on the web, as you did with your second source. See WP:COPYVIO. Meters (talk) 06:24, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
