I disambiguated this from being redirected to the Joel Salatin page, which is currently being debated for deletion. I think the two are reasonably separate topics, as Joel Salatin the person and Polyface Farms the business are quite distinct entities.

This page was listed on Wikipedia:Votes for deletion in May, 2004. The result of that discussion was to keep the article. For an archive of the discussion, see /Delete.

link problem[edit]

http://www.smithsonianmag.si.edu/smithsonian/issues00/jul00/farm.html gets redirected to the main page http://www.smithsonianmag.com/, and the appropriate article is hard-to-find if not impossible.

Criticism - Cornish cross[edit]

The criticism section seems outdated. In his talk "Farming as Dance - The Choreography of Polyculture" (available on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8fnQOSz8QY or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il_rmZ6gTqo&list=PL7OFJd0uhJY1SeLPqm-HvmC7xXl6-Fbj2&index=10), at about 55:10 he talks about the French Label Rouge chicken on his farm, "which is 20% slower growing than the Cornish Cross and it gives our customers a choice for a broad-breasted bird that's not as big as a Cornish Cross". I think this is worth mentioning given that the criticism section currently implies that he only breeds Cornish Cross. --78.54.121.58 (talk) 11:55, 26 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
