Sscanf[edit]

Another apparently lost/orphaned VfD nom, as the tag was added November 23, but it doesn't seem to have ever been placed on the main VfD page--also not on "old" (and is an has no links from VfD-related pages). Procedural/abstain--apparently a detailed library function definition from a Linux Programmer's Manual. If somebody thinks it could possibly become encyclopedic it seems to need some serious cleanup. • Delete. Purely a copy-and-paste from the sscanf manpage. Not encyclopedic. David Johnson 19:24, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: Despite the presence of some things that haven't been nominated for VfD, man pages are not encyclopedic. Geogre 19:46, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Probably a copyvio too, the manpages for glibc are probably GPL, which isn't compatible with GFDL. --fvw* 19:56, 2004 Nov 27 (UTC)
    • Aren't operating systems' man pages public domain though? --Idont Havaname 06:27, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
      • Um, no, not in any way, unless explicitly released into public domain (or, I guess, after the OS has been around for close to a century.) --jpgordon{gab} 06:40, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete it, extremely. Blatant manpage copy. —[[User:Radman1|RaD Man (talk)]] 20:50, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Cleanup. Look at the page for Printf. --Idont Havaname 21:33, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. We're not a set of manpages. If you need to know about this, chances are very very good that you already have the documentation on your computer. --Improv 23:16, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)
