Peltier system?[edit]

Need clarification for disambig purposes.

One sentence in this article reads:

"Cooling the PbS elements by for example pressurised or liquid gas or a Peltier system shifts it's sensitivity to wavelength of approximately 2 to 4 μm."

Is the Peltier system referred to here a reference to the Peltier-Seebeck effect? Or some other usage of the term Peltier, not yet documented in Wikipedia?

The link points to a disambig page; unsure what it is supposed to be pointing to.

Refractive index[edit]

When refractive index, n, is quoted, a wavelength should also be quoted, as n is a function of wavelength. Jaraalbe 06:50, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

broken link[edit]
