Sorry, I didn't have much time to work on it last night, but I feel its current state is a great improvement over the copy/pasted definition from urbandictionary.com. The subject is pretty hard to research, being such a common word, but I'll look into it. -- Skittzfbsd

This is a word in common usage in American English, but it might be a better fit at the Wiktionary. -- Storm

I restored the clean up tag and link to wiktionary. I have also added the original research tag. If the article does not improve soon, I will nominate it for deletion. Movementarian 11:14, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree that this page should be deleted. If there are articles describing rednecks, hillbillys, mullets, etc., then this also deserves an article. Badasses comprise a small but noticeable segment of the population. Although the term is not synonymous with "hardass," the two are very similar in nature. A common example of a badass would be the kid weaving in and out of traffic in a pimped out Honda civic (see Ricer), slouched over in his seat in a "gangsta lean," and giving dirty looks to anyone who dares to makes eye contact with him. They are very common in suburban Western Pennsylvania.

A common example of a badass would be the kid weaving in and out of traffic... - that's not a badass, that's a tit. Royal Marine commandos are badasses. Smokejumpers and SWAT team members are badasses. Your knowledge of how to format internal links is cancelled out by your failure to hyphenate "pimped-out". As for them comprising a small but noticeable segment, I can't recall the last time I noticed a badass. I think hardasses are more noticeable and that the mark of a true badass is that you don't notice them until you attract their fist in your face or similar such instrument of justice. Finally, I would argue that ye must be a force for good to be considered a badass. "True, you may be bad and brave, but you can't be good without being brave." --92.19.13.126 (talk) 19:28, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

After watching Raiders of the Lost Ark for the first time, I'm sorely tempted to make this page a redirect to Indiana Jones. --Shay Guy 18:02, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

After spending almost 7 years as Google's #1 search result for the query 'badass', perhaps BadassBuddy.com deserves at least a footnote here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.109.183.250 (talk) 11:57, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
