Article[edit]

I wonder whether there are any decent translations of his poetry to English. Anyone? Halibutt 06:46, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Polish wiki states that Jean Michel Jarre created a remix, but 1) he is French 2) remix was presented in Poland, so it might be in Polish. I couldn't find any translation neither - it's a shame. On a related note, we have similar Russian, French and Spanish singers - are there any English?--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus

Jean-Michel Jarre made a remix, but the lyrics were kept Polish. The remix was made for the 25-th anniversary of the founding of the "Solidarity" movement.

I'm not sure if "remix" is the correct word here. I'd call it a cover version, personally. - Pookington

I second that. Any English translations of Kaczmarski's songs/poetry? He's written some incredible lyrics and the scarce translations are inadequate. 15 October 2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.72.125.181 (talk) 04:12, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Mury" is not a protest-song!"[edit]

I deeply recommend to delete the mention about "Mury" as a protest-song. It became something like "Solidarity" anthem only because it was deeply misunderstood. In fact, Kaczmarski wrote it to express his distrust for mass movements and dangers connected with them. Although, the only thing people seemed to hear in this song, was it's chorus - which was put by Kaczmarski in quotation marks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.68.28.223 (talk) 22:36, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
