Once there is a new SQL dump available, I could provide you with a refresh. The present one is 10 days old. From the last time I compiled it, there are many more than the ones listed. I could just add the following articles, if you prefer.
Related changes also shows which ones have already been updated. BTW it occurred to me that Special:Ancientpages gives similiar oldies.
(Though I prefer having msg:stub instead of the actual text, I'm not entirely convinced of the need of the either of them). Anyways, it's up to you if you just want to replace the text with the msg, reformat the text as well, check the accuracy of the text, or even make 1-2 liners into longer stubs .. -- User:Docu

Updates[edit]

It's updated now, based on the data of February 12. I added the first 500 (of about 7'500). There are few articles that include "Stubbs" "stubbornness". -- User:Docu

The last ones of the 7500 had been uploaded and Jrdioko just removed the last ones from the list. Thank you all for your help. I wasn't sure would one day get to the end.

I will add the entries from the data of April 3/4 last edited in February/March 2004. Articles containing "stubbs" and "stubborn" have been excluded. -- User:Docu

The update isn't that great as the list includes quite a few entries where we replaced the message on April 3/4/5. -- User:Docu

Question Re: Generated Entries[edit]

I'm not sure what process generates the entries on this page and I don't know if this is the correct place to put a suggestion like this, but I was wondering if there was any way to make the script search for "stub" as an isolated word rather than just those four letters in the page. I've been going through many of these articles and I see page after page where the article was added here because it contained the word "stubborn." Not that this page is a vital part of Wikipedia or something of great priority, but that small change would reduce the size of the list. Just a suggestion... -- Jrdioko 00:54, Apr 5, 2004 (UTC)

I agree. Next time, I will try to exclude more of those before posting the list. It probably has to be done manually, as the word isn't necessarily completely isolated as "stub " and a page could contain both.
An additional problem now (April 5) is that the data was from February 12 and the recent additions are those last edited in February at that time. It's much more likely they have been expanded since than the ones last edited in December.
Later this week, I will try to update the list with the database from April 4. -- User:Docu
Sounds good. I guess excluding "stubborn" would be harder than it first seems. Perhaps searching for "stub" where the next four letters are not "born" or something along those lines. No need to spend too much time weeding through entries though, it's easy enough for whoever is fixing the pages to do a quick search for "stub." -- Jrdioko 17:50, Apr 5, 2004 (UTC)

Just a note... I went through and fixed all the entries on the list that was put up today, and more than half weren't stubs and contained words like "stubby" or place names containing "stub." -- Jrdioko 18:51, Apr 10, 2004 (UTC)
Good, I may try to add more next time to the exclusion list, but it looks like it's more or less done. I had gone through a few other ones with "stubbs" earlier. Even Special:Whatlinkshere/Wikipedia:Find_or_fix_a_stub yields mainly database errors and pages in User or Wikipedia namespaces. BTW we could try to do Spoiler_warning-msgs next. -- User:Docu
The first list (the first one I worked on that is) was the right way to do it. On that there was maybe one incorrect entry for every 10 correct ones whereas the last one had maybe 4 correct for every 6 incorrect, but it's not not a huge deal, just means clicking through a lot of pages that don't need fixing. The spoiler warning would be a great idea, I've seen lots of those pages with creative messages other than {{msg:spoiler}}. If you get a list of those up, let me know the page and I'll start on those. -- Jrdioko 21:22, Apr 10, 2004 (UTC)
They were generated the same way, it just that articles that don't need fixing remain in the data. -- User:Docu
BTW I added spoiler-warnings without msg. There aren't that many. They might as well be found through Whatlinkshere on Wikipedia:Spoiler_warning. With that we probably will have gone through most Wikipedia:Boilerplate texts. -- User:Docu
