Hello and welcome to Wikipedia!

Here are some tips to help you get started:

Good luck!

--Diberri | Talk

P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).

Zombie Panic![edit]

I've sent out the Wikipedia:confirmation of permission. See more at Talk:Zombie Panic! and User:Diberri/Work in progress#Zombie Panic!. I forgot to mention that Zombie Panic! is listed on Wikipedia:Votes for deletion, so you may want to chime in there to give your point of view. --Diberri | Talk 20:36, Aug 12, 2004 (UTC)

The copyright status was never made apparent on the talk page of the article, so that's why it was deleted by myself according to policy. I've restored the page, and added a notice on the talk page in case this ever happens agains. If you have any other questions, feel free to leave another message on my talk page. You're welcome, and thank you for the compliment. I always try my best to make Wikipedia the way to be :). May I make a suggestion? It would be to your advantage to make a user page. That way, it distinguishes you from new users. Red links have a sort of stigma. Cheers, Bratschetalk 5 pillars 15:33, August 26, 2005 (UTC)

Zombie Panic Copyvio[edit]

At the time, there was no evidence that the original website had been licenced under the GDFL, and since I found an exact copy of the article's text here, marking it as a copyright violation was simply standard proceedure. Nothing personal of course.

Additionally, I think it's worth mentioning that the article still needs a bit of a rewrite, since it's still somewhat advertising-y. --InShaneee 01:35, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Baptism of Jesus article[edit]

Hi twilight,

I've made a substantial edit to the Baptism of Jesus article, and I wanted to try to get consensus on it. Some of the edits were shallow; others were deeper. Let me know on my user page if there's anything that seems problematic.

Thanks, --jrcagle 02:02, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Usurpation[edit]

Hello, Twilight. A request has been made at Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations to usurp, or "take over", your username because you have not used it to edit, and another user would like to use it to edit. Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations says that any unused username may be usurped if the user is given seven days notice to object and does not do so.

If you have an email set in your preferences, you should be getting an email from a bureaucrat or changing username clerk explaining how to consent or object to this process.

If you do not object to being renamed to a new username in order for another user to utilize the name you currently have, please log in and post a reply here saying so (you may also tell us what username you would like to be renamed to, or we will provide you with a generic one).

If you do nothing: the request will be filled after seven days, and your account will be moved to a generic username. You may request that it be moved to a new username of your choice at any time.

If you object to being renamed: please log in and make an edit to this page clearly stating that you object to usurpation.

Please note that even if your current username is usurped, you can still edit and your data will not be lost; your preferences, watchlist, and other user settings will be transferred to a new username.

Thank you for your time. Twilight 00:50, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:TAT Main-Screen.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:TAT Main-Screen.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 02:05, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The wording was not that of an article, but of an advertisement. We don't allow advertising here; and your username, while normally unexceptionable, leaves me to wonder whether there's also a conflict of interest involved. Note, also, that most mods are not notable; and there certainly seems to be no evidence that this one is any different. --Orange Mike | Talk 02:16, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Read WP:N on notability; WP:SPAM on advertisement; WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS on why the existence of one marginal article doesn't justify the creation of more such articles; and WP:COI on conflict of interest. If this mod is genuinely notable, somebody without a conflict of interest will write about it. --Orange Mike | Talk 02:28, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Total Annihilation: Twilight, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 02:18, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Bionicle[edit]

The article Bionicle you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is some way from meeting the good article criteria, and there are several issues which need to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Bionicle/GA1 for things needed to be addressed. Jezhotwells (talk) 18:21, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rename[edit]

I am sorry to inform you that, as a result of Wikipedia:Unified login/Finalisation, an initiative to harmonise usernames across Wikimedia projects, you will not be able to continue using the name Twilight to edit the English Wikipedia. This because of another user having the name on the Italian language Wikipedia. Although there is nothing I can do to allow you to retain the name, I can offer to rename your account to another name of your choosing. Is there another name to which I can rename you, maybe a variant of Twilight or a totally different name? WJBscribe (talk) 00:34, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Further to my previous message, I am going to be rename this account to Twilight (renamed) as part of the Wikipedia:Unified login/Finalisation process. I am sorry that this is necessary. Please let me know if there is an alternative name to which you would like me to rename you. WJBscribe (talk) 23:05, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
