article deletion[edit]

Regarding the Brad Bradson article you asked about, I'm not sure which one you're referring to. What was the exact title? You can see the discussion at Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/article name here. My guess would be that the topic was considered non-encyclopedic or un-notable, but I can't say for sure without re-visiting the discussion. Joyous 12:05, Feb 21, 2005 (UTC)

re: article deletion[edit]

Ah, I've found the discussion here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Brad_bradson

It seems that they wanted it deleted because the character is from a 'very minor game'. I added it to the wiki in so that anybody within the amatuer adventure game community wishing to know about the character, games and pop-cultural influences, along with information about the program the game was written with, and having it here where it can be edited by anyone so it would not be biased. I don't get how anyone can think that it was self-promotional when it was completely un-biased, and written from a nuetral position. Other people have written about characters from 'very minor games', or the games themselves and don't get deleted... which seems odd.

I'll just have to forget about adding anything to do with freeware amatuer games made by any aspiring game developer, myself or otherwise, as they'll get deleted for being too 'minor'.

The article Chris Jones (AGS) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A WP:BLP without any references at all; no notability established, no information provided.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
