Active Politicians ?[edit]

I don't think Wikipages about active politicians should be chosen as Today's featured article, unless Wikipedia supports their policies and endorses them in their next election. Is Wikipedia endorsing Mark Latham for the upcoming Australian legislative election, scheduled for October 9 ? It's only a few weeks away ... -- PFHLai 01:35, 2004 Sep 27 (UTC)

Hrm - you think putting the article on the main page could be construed as an endorsement? →Raul654 01:57, Sep 27, 2004 (UTC)
Mark Latham is actively campaigning right now, and we are giving him a free poster ? It may not be intended as an endorsement, but may be interpreted as such, esp. when his opponents don't have their Wikipages featured on the MainPage. It may be better to feature his Wikipage after the October 9th election, when the dust has settled, methinks .... hopefully with updates on the results of the election .... -- PFHLai 05:10, 2004 Sep 27 (UTC)
Ok, I don't really feel like generating all that hassle for myself right now, so I've switched it to split infinitive. →Raul654 06:06, Sep 27, 2004 (UTC)
Out of interest (and this is going to sound odd coming from the person who renominated this article...) but why did you use this article? There are many objections to it. - Ta bu shi da yu 13:46, 28 Sep 2004 (UTC)
I choose it because we hadn't had a politcs-related article in over a week, and we hadn't had an australian article since July-ish. →Raul654 19:56, Sep 28, 2004 (UTC)
