no mention of conan the barbarian? the riddle of steel, iirc, is that human hands wrought it and human hands wield it. the strength isn't in the steel, it's in YOU. kinda like "guns don't kill people; people kill people."

As of December 27, 2008, <http://www.theriddleofsteel.net/> is a URL with no discernible relationship to the game, displaying various behaviours (trapping back buttons, showing "search results" allegedly representing ad sales) typical of domain name squatters. I'm not trying to edit out the link in the Wikipedia page because I have no idea what happened (there's no discussion of this event visible in the forums the other external link offers), but if anyone is following this article who does know what happened, please act.

Later note: Found <http://www.driftwoodpublishing.com/>, which is still about The Riddle of Steel, and claims to be "The new www.theriddleofsteel.net" without actually saying anything about where the original one went.

Driftwood had cashflow problems in 2007, some years after Mr Norwood sold it to some enthusiastic fans in order to pursue his military career. The company is inactive, and the website is all but abandoned, though someone keeps renewing the domain and hosting anyway. — Saxifrage 02:10, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
