information[edit]

This information was really damn difficult to find. Well at least there's something there now. Maybe someone could write something about the achievements of this commission. Jacoplane 00:25, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)

For reference Jacoplane's origional table is reproduced below. I have split this up into three tables because some commissioners changed roles between terms and there was not enough space to list "nominating member state" and "party affiliation". I also think the new table is more useful if you whant to know, e.g. who was responsible for some disission made in 1990?.

Name Portfolio First Term Second Term Third Term
Jacques Delors President yes yes yes
David Williamson Secretary General yes yes yes
Abel Matutes Mediterranean policy yes yes yes

A side issue - does anybody know why there are 19 people in the 1st and 3rd terms and only 18 in the second? Are we missing somebody? Andreww 01:20, 22 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

colours[edit]

Why not add the colours on the compendium with all 3 terms' commissioners? – Kaihsu 16:54, 2005 May 17 (UTC)

Because the roles of some of the commissioners changed between terms and we would end up with a very messy table. My (rough) plan is to have three lists, one for each term, and a short discussion of how the membership changed over time at the top. Research first! Andreww 08:50, 19 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

According to and old Japaneese press relese Commissioner Rene Steichen held the Agricultural bref. Andreww 10:22, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've edited this considerably, because a number of errors had slipped into the attribution of Commissioners to the different Commissions, of portfolios and of political parties. Most of the info (apart from political party) is available on the web-site of the European Commission (though they make it damn hard to find); the rest is often in the other language versions of Wikipedia. There are still 3 Commissioners I have not been able to find political parties for. Any ideas, anyone?Raggio 21:02, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Jacques Delors 1992.jpg[edit]

Image:Jacques Delors 1992.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
